I am a tiger
In Chinese astrology, the animal that
I am associated with is the tiger. Tigers are natural born leaders, very competitive, and not
afraid of confrontation. Tigers excel in activities favoring aggressiveness over diplomacy.
Tigers represent masculinity, virility, and strength.
Although, I possess some of these qualities, I consider myself a quieter version of a tiger. I lead by example, and I am a very organized person. I like to keep things in an organized manner so that I know how to get at it later. I have a creative mind, which is well suited to design-oriented work. I am able to grasp the big picture when presented with a problem that needs to be solved. I am able to concentrate on the task at hand and I am patient enough to see it through. I am very meticulous and perfection is a standard that I look to achieve in all my everyday work.
Sometimes, I can be more like a chameleon rather than a tiger. I can adapt to changes and can change parts of my personality to suit the moment. I can be funny at times, but that happens when I start to talk a lot. In conversations, I like to get to the point.
One of my philosophies in life is to not rush into things. I find that taking things easy can help overcome stress. When I am not rushed, I am one cool individual. Unfortunately, I am not always perfect in preventing stress. One of the problems that I try to overcome is preventing my tiger personality from taking over when I am behind the wheel. This happens when other drivers do things to you that are just rude.
Some hobbies and activities that I enjoy include watching ice hockey, listening to music, playing the guitar, watching movies, and participating in team sports like basketball and hockey. When I was younger, I was also very involved in practicing Aikido, a defensive martial art. Currently, I rarely get a chance to participate in these activities given my work and scholastic schedule. When I am involved, I am very competitive and do not enjoy being on the losing end. If I do lose, I am a good sport.
Career-wise, I am a web developer. I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. I am a Principal Certified Lotus Professional in Notes/Domino Development. One of my goals is to get a Masters degree in Computer Information Systems. This will benefit my career by expanding my skill set, thereby enhancing job security, and making it rewarding financially. My long-term goal is to run my own web-based company. I believe that I have the vision and creative flair needed to be an entrepreneur.
